The brief.
Grace Community Church was approaching its 25th anniversary. Pastor David Okafor wanted to document the congregation's journey — the milestones, the hardships, the lives transformed — before the founding generation's stories were lost. But he wanted a film, not a slideshow; something worthy of a theater, not a fellowship hall.
The vision.
We spent a month in pre-production conducting oral history interviews with 40+ congregants — founders, elders, youth, and community partners. From those interviews, we identified five narrative threads: faith, family, service, resilience, and hope. The documentary would weave them together with cinema-verité footage of daily church life and carefully restored archival material.
The execution.
We delivered a 22-minute documentary film, a 60-second anniversary trailer, and a live multi-camera broadcast of the anniversary service. The documentary premiered at a gala event with 800 attendees and was simultaneously livestreamed to congregants worldwide. We also produced a 12-part social series for the weeks following the premiere.

The impact.

They captured the heart of our ministry with a tenderness and respect that moved our entire congregation to tears. This film is a legacy our children's children will watch. WAFI gave us immortality.
